18/10/09 - Today marks the two year anniversary of the very first Periodic Collective related show!
On the 18th of October 2007, Yama Boy, Woollen Kits and Elna played at the Afterdark, and people seemed to like it. We have recordings of that
show, and, upon review, it's pretty sloppy stuff... but y'know. Good times. Woollen Kits 7" is out and about. For all you non-Melbournians, it's
available for mail-order in the 'shop' section of this site. We've decommissioned the 'gigs' part of the website, since we can't keep up, 'releases'
has been updated, and maybe some other stuff. Constant Mongrel is going crazy with gigs. Woollen Kits launch is on this Friday the 23rd of October
at the Tote with Super Wild Horses, School Of Radiant Living and Constant Mongrel. It's gonna be great. See you there?? xx
12/08/09 - Just a quick one to say that the launch for Yama Boy's 'Moon Cycles' was a total success! The whole night was a blast thanks to Vlady Vivaldi, Lords Of Lard, Love Connection, and of course Yama Boy and Horse Bazaar. It was a thing of beauty. The album is now up for sale online in the shop section, and also on the PC myspace and Yama Boy myspace, too. Also, on the downlow, looks like there might be a Woollen Kits 7" on the horizon... x
14/07/09 - Yama Boy's "Moon Cycles" is finally finished! The launch is on 8th August at Horse Bazaar. More info on that soon. In the meantime, here is a small, slightly amusing photo-blog, documenting the process of printing the covers. Woollen Kits have been getting some great gigs lately, check in the gigs section for those. Tom from Wonderful Fellowship has quit that, and started a new band, with Hugh, called Constant Mongrel. Look out for that. Er... so it's all going great here. Hope it's the same for you! x - us.
26/05/09 - Lots of news for you! Woollen Kits have SO many shows coming up, it's crazy, check gigs section for more info on that. The WFWKSPLIT is selling like crazy, we've got very few copies left... heck, it did get single of the week in Inpress! Yama Boy's long awaited debut is finally on the horizon! It's in it's mastered stage now, just got to make covers, etc... I know it's been said before, but this site will hopefully be better maintained from here on out... YEAH! xx
23/02/09 - Shit guys. It's been a long time. Woollen Kits and Wonderful Fellowship have finished the split. COOL! We've got the cover art, just gotta print it now. There is a launch show booked, more later. Timothy & Wilderness' "Still Stones" is getting a re-release on PC, same as before, there is a house show being organised, details soon! Yama Boy is back, and jeez, he has 3 or 4 shows already. Dachen are rehearsing up for a Pony show. Alot has happened. x
5/12/08 - Woah. It's been awhile, but we've been busy. Wonderful Fellowship and Woollen Kits are recording a split EP together, with the help of Hugh. It's been good. Sounding neeeaaat! We've got some releases by Timothy and Wilderness and Lords Of Lard coming up, too. Some new gigs, we're about to make some tshirts... er, and some other stuff, too! Hey so Christmas is almost here. Nice. Good times and love to each of you, suckers. xx
2/11/08 - OK, so! After a long stint of being neglected, the new Periodic Collective website is here! This is good news, for sure, but as far as interesting news, with good content goes, well, it'll be here in the next few days. Keep a look out! Much love to you all. xx
